Wellness at Work!

Here at the studio we make “wellness” a priority. We live by the phrase work hard, play hard. We pride ourselves as a team of designers not only passionate about design, advertising and marketing but about running, cycling and yoga.

At the studio Michelle Z also wears the hat of “wellness director” for our team. She orgazines monthly fun wellness outings where we are able to go out, move our bodies and our minds and enjoy spending good quality time together as a group. This past winter we managed to scoot out early on a Friday to visit the local ice skating rink where we “toe picked” around, practicing our balance, speed and most of all of appreciation for not falling down.

We also took a few hours out of our day to attend a film at the 36th annual Cleveland International Film Festival as part of our “wellness” practices. Nothing feels as good as a matinée movie on a work day!

Last but not least, Chartreuse was a finalist for the 2012 COSE/Cleveland Museum of Natural History “Wellness at Work Awards.” The three of us attended a lovely cocktail and dinner soireé awards ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel. The evening was really “sWELL!”

On our future list of wellness outings? Indoor mountain biking, Zumba, lots of summer bike rides, jogging and more! Stay tuned, you never know what we will get into next. Now, back to design!

Family Circle Magazine

A few months ago when Charity’s home was featured on Design Sponge her email inbox was filled with requests about design, home interiors, styling; it was all very exciting.

One of the requests that stood out was a note from one of the editors at Family Circle Magazine about contributing ideas for an upcoming story, “50 Easy Decorating Ideas for under $50.” One morning over a few cups of coffee the team brainstormed every idea from interior painting techniques to more indie-crafty home decor solutions, it was a unique brainstorm to say the least.

Flash forward to the April issue of Family Circle Magazine and our suggestion of spray painting your old toys (plastic dinosaurs to be specific) with high-gloss white paint and using them as small additions to any table scape or room decor made it’s way onto the newsstand. Since we have such a passion for styling and interior space design, we were thrilled!

The article also featured other designs such as Jonathan Adler, John Derian & Nate Berkus. To read the entire piece visit their website at www.familycircle.com
